Rugby Virginia is proud to offer the following rugby programs through the year.

Youth Summer Rugby

There are currently some 20+ youth rugby clubs playing in Virginia in the summer.  

During the summer, Rugby Virginia offers the following programs:

    • 7-a-side single-gender Tackle rugby (7’s rugby) at the High School level, U17 & U19

    • 7-a-side Co-ed Touch rugby (with RV Mods) at the Youth (Non-Contact) level, U07, U09, U11, U13 & U15

    • 11-a-side single-gender Tackle rugby (with RV Mods) at the Youth (Contact) level, U13 & U15

The season runs from early June and ends with the Youth Summer Rugby Tournament in late July or early August. 

Spring Middle School/Youth Rugby

Spring Middle School/Youth Rugby is designed to introduce elementary and middle school athletes to the fifteen-a-side contact game of rugby and do so in a safe and enjoyable environment.  See Age Eligibility restrictions & requirements

Boys High School Rugby

The Boys High School Rugby season runs from mid-March and ends with the State Championship in early June.  

Girls High School Rugby

The Girls High School Rugby season runs from mid-March and ends with the State Championship in early June.  

High Performance & All-Stars

The purpose of these HP and All-Star teams is to provide players the opportunity to compete against other All Star teams at Regional All Star Tournaments (RASTs) and to be seen by USA Rugby selectors.   

Academies, Clinics, & Assemblies

Throughout the year Rugby Virginia organizes academies, clinics, and assemblies designed to teach basic techniques, introduce advanced techniques & tactics, develop youth players, and provide pathways for athletes to play at the highest competitive levels.
